About the Instructors
Grant von Ahlefeldt (Owner)
Grant, CFII, MEL, ATP has been flying for more than 18 years and has accumulated over 7,000 hours of flying experience. He holds a CFII "Single Engine Flight Instructor, Instrument" rating. In addition, he also holds an ATP "Airline Transport Pilot Certificate". He has flown for a UPS affiliate, a medevac ambulance in KS and currently flies for a private jet charter company in Mississippi. When home in Colorado, he spends his time at the airport instructing new students.

Savanna Peirce
Savanna is a CFI with over 1400 flight hours. She has been flying for SoCO Flight Pros for over 3 years and loves teaching and talking aviation! She did the majority of her flight training at ATP in Tennessee and is dedicated to teaching safety in the air as her number one priority. She loves the dynamic of teaching real world, practical scenarios mixed with the endless fun of flying airplanes. She also speaks Japanese for fun. You can contact Savanna at 615-495-5377.
Tom Slavonik
Tom is a 4000-hour CFI/CFII/MEl who resides in Pueblo West, CO, with his wife Adrienne. He currently works as a part time flight instructor at the Pueblo Memorial Airport (PUB) in Southern Colorado. Prior to moving to Colorado in 2017, Tom and his wife owned a 1959 Cessna 182B for 16 years and flew it extensively from home bases in both Chesapeake, VA, and Chester, SC. As a jump pilot, Tom has over 1000 jump runs under his belt and considers that job to be the most fun he ever had.

Caiden Nelson
Caiden Nelson is a 20 year old CFI, Commercial single and multi engine with extensive experience flying in the mountains of Colorado and 19 other states, including hurricane relief work as a pilot while flying the entire west coast. His main goal is to not only get students through their checkride, but to also enjoy the flight training process in a way not many students get to. Taking students any time excluding Saturday and Sunday when he is instructing in the mountains part time.

Nic Lewis
Nic is a Missouri native who grew up playing sports. He played football at the collegiate level before stepping away during the Covid-19 pandemic. Not passionate in his prior major he discovered flying and found a new passion. Doing his Private Training at a part 141 school in Joplin MO (KJLN), then ventured to Centennial CO (KAPA) for his Instrument Rating, CSEL, and CMEL at ATP. After going back to MO he got his CFI and is excited to share the amazing world of Aviation. He not only wants to make his students training safe but an enjoyable and memorable experience.
